Colonial employs contractors who agree with and adhere to our safety philosophy. We establish and maintain strategic partnerships with our contractors to complete our work in manners that protect the communities and environments where our facilities and pipelines are located.

Colonial Pipeline does not compromise safety to achieve any business objective. All employees and contractors have a primary responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others with whom they may be working. In support of this core value, Colonial empowers all employees, contractors, and subcontractors with the unqualified right to exercise their Stop Work Authority. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Stopping work if they have any reason to suspect danger
• Identifying and implementing corrections to ensure safety
• Reporting any unsafe conditions

When a Stop Work Authority has been issued, no work will resume until all safety concerns are addressed.
