Colonial Pipeline Honors Former Vice President And General Counsel Helene Long With Carl McCain Memorial Foundation Contribution Fund Program

Colonial Pipeline has set up a memorial fund through the Carl McCain Memorial Foundation in honor of former Vice President and General Counsel Helene Long. Long, who served as Colonial’s VP and General Counsel since May 2017, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019.

The Colonial family, and the pipeline industry, lost a brilliant coworker and legal intellect,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Blount. Through this contribution fund with this worthy organization, we honor Helene’s kindness, generosity and her commitment to our industry.”

The foundation’s mission is to make financial grants to, or on behalf of, individuals and families who have worked in the domestic energy industry and who are financially burdened by medical expenses.

The Colonial Management Team has made personal contributions to the Carl McCain Memorial Foundation in memory of Helene totaling $5,000, and this contribution has been matched by the Colonial Pipeline Board of Directors members for a total donation of $10,000.

Long joined Colonial Pipeline after establishing a distinguished and extensive career in the energy industry. She worked more than 11 years as Associate General Counsel for Enbridge Pipelines Inc., where Helene led the Regulatory and Law Departments in both Canada and the United States. Previously, she also held senior legal positions at TransCanada, BP America, Shell Pipeline, and Encana.
