Colonial University

Colonial University is our popular two-day course designed for shippers who are currently scheduling and moving product on our pipeline system. The curriculum covers every aspect of transportation – nominations, product movement and tracking, ticketing, invoicing and quality assurance. Presenters provide participants with a glimpse of scheduling and pipeline operations from the time we receive customer nominations through the delivery of the product to its final destination.

Colonial University sessions are led by members of those teams actively involved in the nomination-to-delivery process, including scheduling, ticketing, inventory, revenue, accounting, quality assurance and customer affairs. Also, Transport4 provides an overview of their customer portal system and the interaction it has with Colonial and other pipeline systems.

 Colonial offers two course types:

Colonial University for Schedulers
Colonial University for Schedulers is offered to customers in a Scheduling role actively nominating via Transport4 and moving product on the Colonial system.  The material covered offers attendees an in-depth view into Colonials’ day-to-day scheduling process and pipeline operations

Attendee’s participating in this course should have some general knowledge of the terminology and processes outlined in the Shipper Manual.

Colonial University for Non-Schedulers
The Non-Schedulers session is intended for those customers that do not necessarily have a direct role in the day to day function of moving product on the Colonial system but would like a better understanding of the Colonial system.

Attendee’s participating in this course may or may not have general knowledge of the terminology and process outlined in the Shipper manual.

With either session, attendees will leave with a greater understanding of Colonial, its rules and regulations, tariffs and overall operational practices. Our primary goal is to answer your questions and provide an interactive learning experience that strengthens our working relationship with customers.
